Special Events

Ash Wednesday: Each year on Ash Wednesday we get together with Next Church to put on an Ash Wednesday service for our congregations. It’s a quiet service with a beautiful mix of music and prayer. Oh! And yes, we do put ashes on our foreheads!

Baptisms: We usually save our Baptisms at Rustle for Easter Sunday. If you are interested in being baptised, we usually advise you to spend a good amount of time with us first. Make attending Rustle church a priority. Both you and the Church need to be sure you have gotten to Jesus. Then a few months before Easter, you will need to have a meeting with Pastor Todd and take a baptism course, so that you can know what you are getting into.

Easter Sunrise Service: On Easter Sunday before the sun comes up, some of us gather with Next Church down at Richardson Beach to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a short liturgy and some singing. We will still have plenty of time to make it back for Easter service at 11am!

Neighbourhood BBQ: At the end of summer on the third Saturday of September we team up with Pinegrove Community Church and Picton FMC to put on our Annual Neighbourhood BBQ. We shut down the street to have a block party with free food, live music and a free yard sale for our neighbours and it’s a blast! The most important part of it is that our neighbours actually come and we get to host over 300 people, so come on down and enjoy a burger and corn on the cob on us!  If you are interested in volunteering, let pastor Todd know.
