Habits

Sunday Service: We meet every Sunday at 11am to worship Jesus the King! Our services and people reflect the Neighbourhood we find ourselves in. Each Sunday we sing together, pray together, share our victories and struggles with one another, listen to the teaching of the Word together, and receive Communion together. While we generally hold to the same structure each Sunday, the Holy Spirit often does something interesting!

Rustle Kids: Just before the sermon, our elementary school-aged kids make their way downstairs to our Rustle Kids area to learn about the gospel with teaching designed for them. We are currently using the Gospel Project curriculum and have implemented a Plan to Protect program to keep our kids safe and our volunteers aware and accountable.

Rustle Tots: For kids too young to participate in our Rustle Kids program we have a play area for kids aged 1-4 where they can be supervised by Plan to Protect screened volunteers during the sermon.

The Method: When we don’t have small groups running, we practice something called The Method together. It is a simple structure where we read some short readings, read, study and meditate on scripture, and then listen for God’s Voice together. We end by responding to God’s Word with prayer. The Method serves as a great entry point for newcomers as you don’t need to know anything about the bible or prayer to fully take part! Wednesday nights at 7pm at Rustle.

Weekly Prayer: We meet twice a week to pray together Tuesdays at noon and Sundays before the Sunday service at 10am. We usually pray through a psalm or another scripture and then pray through things our people have asked for.

Small Groups: Twice a year we run short (4-5 weeks) small group bible studies in some of our congregants’ homes. This is a great way to get to know other people at Rustle while growing our spiritual lives. Talk to Pastor Todd if you are interested
